Fort Greene festival is a two-day music, film, and cultural festival that brings over 10,000 people to Fort Greene to celebrate one of Brooklyn’s most vibrant and artistic enclaves. Fort Greene Festival provides local performing arts and community media programs that reflects Fort Greene's diverse community.! The festival serves as a platform to provide and support the community’s creative progress. Fort Greene Fest not only celebrates Fort Greene’s rich culture, but respects the very ground where it will take place. The festival is working closely with ConEdison and National Grid to make the event as green as possible.
The Fort Greene community is excited about our home grown festival, and we want to be sure that we are welcome back for many years to come. The festival community will work together to keep Fort Greene Park beautiful! The community will do their part by helping cultivate an environment of cleanliness in and around the park. As the “Fort Greene Music & Film Festival” continues to grow, it is more important than ever to not just recycle as much material as possible on site, but also to REDUCE the amount of waste that is brought to the festival. We need everyone's help in order to make this happen! With the festival taking place in the historical Fort Greene Park, the festival chooses to promote what is best for the preservation of the environment just like we choose to promote the finest and freshest musicians and film makers.
